The Lovely Month of March

We have had more snow this year than I think we have had in 5 years. I am done with the snow and looking forward to it getting nicer. That's of course, hoping, that it doesn't snow again. Seems like when we think that all the snow is gone it starts again. We have been good for about 2 weeks now and I am really holding out that it stays this way. We had a great Easter. We went to church with Mike and his parents. It was nice. Gina loves church and that makes it easier to get up on Sundays and get ready and go. Sophia and Gina had somewhat matching dresses which was fun. As you can Sophia doesn't like sitting on her sister much so we captured the pic the best we could and pretty much as fast as we could as well. Gina tries to help but Sophia just doesn't always appreciate the help. Both were good and both go Easter baskets. Sophia had a soft ball and a stuffed bunny and Gina got some candy and stickers. Of course, my mother and father-in-law out did me and bought a much bigger basket with much funner things but that's alright Gina just got lucky with 2 baskets. I actually got to take half the day off and spend it at Mike's parents house. We had a fantastic dinner (I ate way to much) and I got to make the dessert. I made a 3 layer carrot cake with homemade cream cheese frosting. I was very proud of it and it went fast. I took the rest to work and it went fast there as well. Unfortunately we all got sick with sinus stuff and I ended up being off of work for 4 days. I was so sick...and my husband must have believed so as well as he let me sleep for 2 days. I was appreciative of this as I got better much quicker. 4 days in the house and I was ready to go back to work...sometimes I realize what an escape it is. Work is work and it's a trial to continue on somedays. I have to support our family though so I keep on going. The girls keep me motivated. I am very excited to get outside and start doing some work in the gardens. We need to get a chainsaw and then we will rent a rotatiller (sp?) and really get some work done in these overgrown weed beds this year. I need the fresh air. Also we need to work on getting some new windows so that we can actually open the windows in this house. That would be really exciting to have some real fresh air in here and I would hope it would help us air out this house. We are working forward one step at a time. I am trying to be carefully with our finances so we always have just enough. It's hard in these days. Gina loves to dress up her sister and play with her. Sophia doesn't always love it but is getting more used to it. We snapped a few of the fun pictures. This is Sophia as princess. The shoes would stay on but we got the crown, the necklace and she is holding the sunglasses. The next picture will be of Gina in the princess shoes. She tried to get them on my feet yesterday but feeling like Cinderella's step-sisters my feet just wouldn't fit into them. Gina finally gave up and put my slippers on me instead. To funny. This pictures is taken with her blankie. This of course doesn't leave her side. My cousin's wife made it for us when Gina was born...if only she knew what she had made us. This blanket goes everywhere for us. Cori you are a lifesaver...it's her baby. She actually went downstairs into the washer and opened it and put the blanket into the dryer so that she could sleep with it. I just need to show her how to do laundry and I will have it made. Well last but not least I thought we would throw in a video of Sophia laughing. It's so adorable. Enjoy. Happy past Easter.

And we're on the move

Well it's been an eventful couple of weeks here. We have had a lot of growing pains with Sophia. She is getting bigger for sure and is on the MOVE! Oh boy...help me now. We will post up the video at the end. Both the girls hair is growing by leaps and bounds and now has to be pulled back everyday so they can see. Gina has hers out of her head in about 12 mins flat if she is thinking about it but Sophia leaves her. I think she is grateful it's not in her eyes. See example. Her hair is always in her eyes. Mommy is either blowing it out of her face or trying to smooth it back. It doesn't really stay for long but we try. Sophia is a very easy child to take care of. She loves to chew and roll like a log. She doesn't cry unless Gina takes away the toys she wants (this happens often) and she gets cuter everyday. We have been getting alot of snow here lately. It's incredible in the work I do who knows to stay in and who doesn't. A lot of snow doesn't stop shoppers but sure does keep anyone who lives in the city of Massillon home. I am okay with this. I have been training in the fire room learning how to dispatch fire and rescue. It's intense. I don't have to tell people how to give medical help but making sure you get people medical help in a proper amount of time is very stressful. I have had two dead people and a very sick baby in the last week. I think I need a vacation...my husband doesn't agree. The snow is at it again today. It just keeps snowing. I am wondering if and when it will stop. Guess I shouldn't have wished for snow. I did it to myself. I took Gina out the other day to help me shovel...she lasted about 15 mins and then started crying her hands hurt. My poor baby...So we came inside and had hot chocolate. Our awesome next door neighbor felt bad for us and came and snowblowed our driveway. Jack you are my hero! He actually has been doing this almost every time it snows. Don't know what I would do without him...lose weight? I don't know but I don't want to find out... :) Gina is getting bigger everyday. She learns more and more and know understands what pig words are. I didn't realize I said stupid so much but I guess I do because I get the words yelled at me (PIG WORD MOMMY!) So I have had to curb my trucker mouth (stupid, dumb, crap) and move on to words like goofy and gosh and poop. Interesting life. But you know what I wouldn't change any of it for anything. I love my babies more than life itself. I wish I could be home more with them. Maybe one day things will change. I will include the video of Sophia crawling. We are in the early stages but get better everyday. Hope all is well with all of you. Love the Perry's.
